Like many of her cousins and friends growing up in the country, Karla has always been a fan of surf culture and brands like Mambo, Hang Ten, Billabong, Ripcurl, and Quicksilver. While preparing to purchase a collaboration surf item with an Indigenous designer, she realized the absence of a Noongar surf brand, sparking the creation of Wardarn Dreaming. Driven by her love of fashion, Karla emphasizes quality, style, and fit in her clothing line, aiming to provide luxurious yet casual garments suitable for the beach, the bush, social gatherings, and everyday activities. Wardarn Dreaming is designed for everyone who cherishes the ocean, transcending cultural backgrounds. Many of us are drawn to the saltwater, surf, and sandy shores for joy, healing, and rejuvenation, forming a community known as the Saltwater Tribe of Wardarn Dreaming.
